I enjoyed the lovely beach, clean rooms, and friendly staff, especially at the buffet where the food was varied and beautifully displayed. The dining options, including the specialty restaurants, exceeded my expectations, making meals delightful.
Limited evening social spaces.

Playa Dorada beach lives up to its reputation. It’s stunning and great for walking. The room had an ocean view and was clean, with comfortable beds. I loved the Hibiscus buffet. breakfast was always fresh, especially the hash browns and baked goods. Edgar at the beach bar ensured my drinks were just how I like them, which made my stay more enjoyable. I appreciated the effort from the staff, especially in keeping the resort spotless. On the downside, the AC unit was quite loud, and the pillows were lumpy. I encountered issues with the buffet having repetitive food items and a lack of variety in cuisines, which limited meals to mostly Dominican dishes. The pizza served at the snack bar was bland too, not what I expected from a resort. Also, the dinner service felt disorganized, particularly during busy meal times. While check-in and check-out were efficient, the pushy sales pitches from time-share representatives detracted from the overall experience. Still, I would come back if I found a good deal again.

Had a great time at Grand Paradise Playa Dorada! The beach is fine, and the bar staff, especially Raul, made our evenings enjoyable. Only downside was the front desk service. They seemed uninterested. A solid getaway!

missingWrote a review on 01 Novselect sectionextensive buffetlimited entertainment
The Select section offers a superior experience with free internet and exclusive access to the best bar and dining options. clear perks for those willing to spend a bit more. The extensive buffet includes every kind of meat you could want and the Italian restaurant stands out despite occasional waits.
Nightly entertainment struggles with a lack of engaging shows and a cramped viewing area, leading to a less vibrant atmosphere. The disco experience disappoints, focused on Latin music with limited options for dancing, making it feel boring. Communication can be tricky, as the majority of guests are German, leading to fewer interactions in English.

Had an awesome time with friends at this resort! The activities were fun, like the bike tour, and the staff, especially Alex, was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the beach and the pool area, although the pool got crowded at times. Also, check out Playa Dorada Plaza for some great shopping nearby! Overall, a great getaway with plenty of options.
Only downside was that we had to pay for the safe in our room, which was a bit inconvenient.

Impressive Stay with Delicious Food Choices!
My experience was delightful! I adored the Hibiscus buffet, especially the freshly baked goods, and the service at Michelangelo was top-notch. Enjoyed relaxing at the pool while sipping cocktails mixed by the talented Cesar. Pro tip, bring Clamato juice for a perfect Bloody Caesar!

Couples looking for fun
We had such a blast getting to know the bartenders they felt like friends by the end of the trip. One night, we tried the a la carte dining and it was delicious, every plate was a hit.
It wasn't cheap but honestly we thought it was worth it.
